Padel is the glass-walled, two-on-two racquet sport the world has gone mad for — fast, ridiculously social, impossible to quit. We're bringing it to Winnipeg indoors, right alongside pickleball, open all year. Get in early and help shape the club.
Tennis meets squash on an enclosed glass court about a third the size of a tennis court. The walls are in play, so rallies last forever — and you're hooked inside ten minutes.
It started with a backyard problem. In 1969, in Acapulco, Mexico, Enrique Corcuera wanted a tennis court at his home — but didn't have the room. So he built a smaller one, threw up walls so the ball couldn't escape into the neighbour's garden, and accidentally invented the most addictive racquet sport on earth. His wife, Viviana, wrote the first rules.
A Spanish prince tried it on holiday and took it home to Marbella. From Spain and Argentina it spread to over 140 countries. Fifty-odd years later it's the fastest-growing sport in the world — and it's finally landing in Winnipeg.
And we're not stopping at padel. Winnipeg's pickleball scene is already booming, so the club runs both — indoors, every month of the year.
The glass walls keep the ball alive, so you're rallying on day one. No years of lessons. Beginners and lifers end up on the same court, laughing.
Padel is built for four — less a workout than a standing weekly plan with your favourite people, and the fastest way to find a new crew in this city.
Winnipeg's runaway favourite, indoors and open all year. No tearing down nets when the snow flies. Mornings, evenings, leagues, drop-in.
Café, coaching, leagues, late-night socials and student rates. Somewhere to actually hang around — not a booking and a cold parking lot.
Every other city gets a few warm months of padel. Winnipeg gets the longest indoor season in the country — because the weather everyone else dreads is exactly what makes this work. We're not getting through winter. We're booking it solid.
Every answer shapes the club — where it lands, what it costs, when it opens. No spam, no selling your info, ever.
We'll be in touch as the club takes shape — keep an eye on your inbox. In the meantime, come say hi on Instagram and watch it come together.

Still being set — which is part of why we're asking. Expect both memberships and pay-as-you-play, plus student rates. Your answers shape the pricing.
Nope. Rackets and balls are provided, and we'll help match you into games and socials. Just show up.
